Overview

Melotte entered the market with an ambitious vision: create a sneaker brand capable of challenging conventional footwear brands while representing a new generation of Indian entrepreneurs.

The founders weren't looking for just a logo. They needed a complete brand identity capable of competing in a crowded sneaker market and establishing a recognizable presence from day one.

The result was a complete branding system designed around movement, confidence, culture, and self-expression. The identity was crafted to position Melotte as a modern, design-driven sneaker brand built for individuals who move with purpose.

Melotte needed to:

3. Designing the Visual Identity

The visual identity was created to feel bold, modern, and instantly recognizable.

At the center of the system sits a custom starburst-inspired mark designed to symbolize:

  • Confidence
  • Forward movement

The identity balances aggression and simplicity, helping Melotte stand out across packaging, social media, website applications, and product branding.


4. Building a Distinct Color System

The color palette was intentionally minimal.

Primary colors included:

  • Deep Black (#231F20)
  • Signature Red (#BE1E2D)
  • White (#FFFFFF)

The combination creates strong contrast while reinforcing a premium and performance-driven aesthetic.


5. Typography System

To maintain consistency across all brand communications, a dedicated typography hierarchy was created.

Fonts selected:

  • Telegraf (Headings)
  • Garet (Body Copy)

The system balances bold visual impact with readability, creating a clean and modern brand experience across both digital and print applications.


6. Packaging & Brand Collateral

The branding extended beyond digital assets into physical touchpoints.
